Delete your account

You can delete your Candle Fable account at any time, whether you use the website or the Android app. Here are the two ways. This page doesn’t delete anything by itself.

Delete it yourself

Sign in on the website, open Settings, and choose Delete my account. You’ll be asked to confirm, and then it’s done.

Ask us to delete it

Write to support@candlefable.com from the email address on the account. We’ll reply to confirm it’s you before we delete anything, so we only delete accounts at their owner’s request.

What gets deleted

• Your account — your email address, name, and password.
• Your books — every title, archived or not, the text read from the pages, and the translations.
• Your photos — every page photo you uploaded.
• Your audio — every recording made from your books.

It happens when you confirm, or when we confirm by email, and it can’t be undone.

What stays

If you ever paid, deleting your account cancels any active subscription straight away. Stripe keeps its own customer and payment records under its own policy, and we keep a billing record of your Stripe customer and payments.

Photos and recordings are removed from storage shortly after, by a background job.
